FAQ

I was happy to be using PG until I reinstalled my operating system. On a new system I have successfully installed PG, but I can't register it. It claims my license is invalid. What should I do?

The reason is on line registration. You should e-mail our support, and attach the original email message which was sent to you with the name and key pair. PG team will send you the new name-key pair, and you will continue using PG immediately!

I don't want ICQ messenger chat logs were removed during system cleanup. How do I do that?

To disable ICQ messenger cleaning you should navigate to Settings > Messengers > ICQ, and uncheck Clean flag. After you clicked Apply, ICQ chat history won't be cleaned up any more.

How do I tune up custom cleanup settings?

Custom cleanup settings allow you to add files and folder to remove. To manage these files you should go to Settings > Custom Files section, and use "Add File", "Add Folder" links.

I have disabled Browsers section in PG settings. What will happen if I click Browsers Cleanup Button on the Home page?

Once you disabled Browsers section, it won't participate in a full system cleanup. However, browsers history still will be cleaned if you launch the cleanup via Browsers button on the main screen.

I configured cleanup groups and items in PG settings according to my preferences. Are these settings taken into account when performing custom cleanup?

Yes, they are. For instance, if you switched off ICQ messenger, it won't be cleaned during full system cleanup or custom scan launched by Messengers button click on the home page.

I scheduled PG to cleanup my system daily. How can I know that it was launched, and all violations are removed?

When scheduled, PG works in a silent mode. You won't get any notifications about cleanup process. The simplest way to check if cleanup was performed is to launch PG, navigate to History page, and see cleanup statistics. Obviously, there will be a new item in History list. In addition, you can launch cleanup again and see that all evidence were cleaned up during scheduled clean up.

I scheduled PG but looks like it doesn't work. What's wrong?

You should check if you typed a correct password on Scheduling section in PG settings. The password must be the same as you use to log in to your system. PG scheduling is a well tested feature, and the only reason can be is incorrect password.

How long scan and cleanup processes normally take?

It depends on many factors. If your system has never been cleaned, full system scan process can take up to 10 minutes. However, cleanup works much faster: the violations found during scanning are just cleaned up, so cleanup will take 2 minutes.

If you use PG cleaning regularly, full system scan and cleanup will take less then a minute.

Oh, I have just installed your software and performed full system scan. Thousands of violations! I'm going to purchase PG. After I register the software, will I need to perform full scan again, and wait all that time in order to cleanup?

No, you will not. If you decide to register PG after performing scan operation, scan results are not removed. Once you registered PG, simply click Repair Now to remove all found violations.

I'm new to PC cleaning actually. Can PG break my system?

No, it can't. It is impossible for PG to break something in your system. What's more, after scanning PG allows you to choose items to cleanup, so you always have a total control.

What is PG license?

PG license if a one time license that allows you to install the software on only one computer. The license shall remain valid with no time limitation, except for the cases specified in TERMINATION section of the license agreement you see when installing PG.
